Westview Veterinary Technician and Her Husband Adopt Indy

Image - -

My name is Whitney Mutchler and I have been a Veterinary Technician at Westview Veterinary Hospital for the past nine years. My first introduction to this particular little female kitten was on July 7th, a Monday morning.

I was told that S.P.A. had rescued the little black and white kitten on July 4th, and that Terry had named the kitten “Indie” for Independence Day. I was able to start my week giving this adorable rescued kitten extra TLC, so we had a fun day of cleaning and playing. By the end of my shift she found a place in my scrub-top pocket where she seemed perfectly content.

I became attached to her and two days later discussed fostering Indie with Barb. Well, we were another foster failure I am afraid, because it didn’t take long for my husband and me to decide that we wanted Indie to become a permanent part of our family.

We already had a four-legged ‘clan’ at our house but we felt Indie would be a great addition. Barb and I brain-stormed and her recommendation was a gradual introduction with the rest of our pet family. It is working out beautifully and we couldn’t be happier with our new addition.

The adoption process was easy and we felt reassured that the rescued animals in S.P.A.’s care are always adopted to homes where they will be well cared for.

Thank you S.P.A. for helping so many animals in need. It’s great that you care so much! ~ Joe & Whitney Mutchler
